Glamour was once a word restricted to high society and the silver screen. The late twentieth century saw a dramatic shift towards accessibility and affordability in the fashion industry. People became more confident, had increased awareness of their image and were willing to spend time and money to impress. As glamour became commonplace in every dimension of life, fashion and cosmetics were flying off the shelves like hot cakes. Glamour photography was not left behind. It kept up with the times and became even more creative. Glamour has been a catalyst to fashion and in the process, photography added a new dimension to its portfolio.
